Definitely think if that's where you want your career to go, but I. General awesome, Suzi!!
I am not yet packed for my trip. I do t have a suitcase of the right size (I don't want to check it but the only one small enough is too small--my other one is a little too big for them and I feel like European airlines are more strict?) can't decide if I should just hope they'll let me on with it or if I should take the chance they'll lose it or whaf
I just sent a bunch of questions to my PM asking about responsibility expectations and such. My brain is slowly coming around to the idea and the fact that the people who recommended me would be there to support me as I figure this out, IF we win that work.
Le crazy.
After a little time off, I'm back at work today (well, back remotely). It appears the e-mail system has been upgraded and I no longer have the ability to read my e-mail. Bother.
Suzi - that is an amazing opportunity. Evan if you decide you don't want it so amazing to be considered.
Gud - sounds like a totally normal eff-up.
My office is like a secret organization in the company so IT kinda forgets that we have a very atypical setup and can easily get locked out of corporate stuff.
Getting locked out of corporate stuff could be a benefit to productivity.
Yay, Suzi! It is always a plus to find that your employer and co-workers have that level of confidence in you.
Laura - you are so right. Imagine all the meetings you won't be invited too!
I was just about to remark that my laptop is working as I would wish it too when Chrome stopped working and then crashed and I had to open it twice more before I could come back here.
Is it me? Is it my 7 year old computer? Argh.
So, the DH and I are talking semi-seriously about opening a used bookstore/small meeting space in Michigan. I'd run it--my mom ran a used bookstore, as you may remember, which is still going strong. [link] It would combine so much of what I love--books, readings and book clubs, maybe small jam sessions, meeting people, a bookstore kitty. We have to get there to find out if it is feasible, but it's awfully tempting.
I may start pestering you for excess books....
Oh, I can get you some excess books.
It also sounds like the ideal place for smaller Buffista gatherings.
Ooh, that is tempting, Scrappy. I had a bookstore dream when I lived in Queens, and moved away instead, but someone else did it! Not a used bookstore, but there were no regular bookstores in the whole vicinity.
