Any idea why the PTB don't just pull the article? Surely they're not short on other articles to replace it.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I kinda want her to provide all the "unimportant" information in the form of pie charts. Just because that would make the story more entertaining.

I think they schedule the issues so that there's not much wiggle room to drop or add an article. Like, I'm still working on it, and it gets published in July. If they pull it, they have to come up with something to replace it, and they don't allow themselves that kind of margin. Which isn't my decision or technically my problem, except for when I have to deal with this bullshit at my level.
Oh, my god. Work. I'm going to be in a corner, quietly banging my head against a brick wall. There may be retail therapy later.
Her reply to every query like that is "That is unimportant and I will not provide it."
I kind of want to try responding to things like this just to see what would happen.

Right? When I get assigned an article to edit, I don't get to say "This is unimportant and I will not edit it." Which is SO what I should have done with this article. Sheesh.
This is where I feel like I need to mention, yet again, that 1 year ago we published an article written by President Obama about the ACA, and *he* wasn't a whiny little baby about being edited.
I am literally falling asleep at my desk. There is work to do, but I am struggling to keep eyes open .

This may be my new answer to many many requests.
Right there with you, msbelle.
SiL update, because I have to tell someone and I sure as hell don't want to bring it up at work: she was out on bail but violated the conditions of her bond agreement and is back in jail. I am hoping she can maybe dry out and stay out of trouble while she's in, but who knows. Gah. My poor brother, but at least he is in a better place geographically and has a job and a bit of a support network. Her parents, man, I can't even imagine, that must be awful.
I had my afternoon coffee and am ready to take on the next two hours!! Man, everything is kind of a cluster here because our fiscal year ends 6/30.
