What I have done in the last four hours: went to the car dealership to pick up and attach my license plates, got a hair cut, went shoe shopping, bought groceries, navigated the traffic around the city's summertime festival to get home. It's me in front of a fan for the rest of the day.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I haven't been clicking through links, but I have been following along, so I'm not sure if anyone's shared the "Why I swear" pie chart yet? (Spoiler: It's 100% "because fuck you.")

I am home from Europe! It was a good trip, but I was super ready for it to be done. So that's perfect. Am especially glad I cleaned the house before I left, and am laughing at the extra blanket I left on the bed, because it finally got warm here. Like, yesterday.

Crap, I want to go to sleep so badly. I can hold out until 9, right?

Welcome home, Jesse!

Good luck Jesse!!

I ran my half marathon! Well, walked most of it. Because for some reason even though my IT band gave me no trouble in training, at mile 4 both sides decided to start hurting. So I was in pain a lot. Boo!! But it's done.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Garage sale Day 1 - $550 between the 4 people represented. plus $200 promised on furniture tomorrow.

My take thus far will be about $150 plus that $200.

I am pleased with that and also pleased that a lot of what sold for me was stuff that takes up a lot of space.

We will be out again tomorrow and hopefully will get rid of even more. All unsold books, DVDs, and CDs will go straight to Half Price Books to get a few dollars and then we will have to decide between the rest what we box up for an already planned sale in the fall (at my mother's to get rid of some furniture she has over there), or what goes straight to thrift store.

We have several sets of dishes, not china, just dishes and none of them sold. Also several sets of 4-6 matching glassware and none of those sold. Shocking all of us, we sold over 40 Beanie babies for $1 each.

Sounds like a good haul, msbelle.

Nice! I installed 2 window units, one new and it took a while because the directions were crap.i have so much spare hardware and despite this, need to go out and get some reinforcements tomorrow. But both are in and on and cooling. And I pulled a muscle in my boob in the process. It's sore.

Sorry about the boob muscle, sarameg.

Go msbelle with your yard-salery. That is very productive! And meara with the half-marathon! I have IT band issues which I mostly fail to deal with. I need to take up yoga, sigh.

The problem with going to an afternoon party is that drinking in the afternoon makes the rest of the day entirely unproductive. That said, I did get a quiche in the oven for a brunch tomorrow.

Anyway, in other news, I have my new car! The picture doesn't do it justice: it's a gorgeous shiny blue-green color, and has all the bells and whistles of a new car nowadays. Plus great mileage, yay.
