I'm glad your mother came through the surgery all right, Steph.
I hope your dad's health improves soon, meara.
ION, where would be a good place to discuss Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries? I'm curious as to people's opinions of a long-term relationship between Phrynne and Jack.
Are you referring to the books or the tv show? I'd think the former would go in the books thread. The latter, well, I get it streaming but it started out as a regular tv show, I think. So the non-sf/fantasy/superhero, non-pay-for-swearing tv thread (ETA: cable drama)?
My co-workers are being baffled by bronies. A couple of them are hastily denying that they're fans at all in the face of dismay abpout the existence of bronies at all.
Still watching the hills for the signal fires, Tep.
"Teppy calls for aid!"
"And Buffistas will answer!"
Oooo, new co-worker neighbor is big into old Magic cards and he's delighted at the idea of digging through the boxes of cards I have . . .
So glad for the good news, Steph!
meara, I hope the med changes really help your dad. Lots of ~ma for him and your whole family.
I've spent a good chunk of yesterday and today feeling how Tara must have at the end of "Family".
Timelies all!
Bleah. I woke up coughing early this morning. It's this annoying tickle in my throat. My back hurts, and I'm feeling cold. I hope this isn't anything serious, as we're going to visit my folks up North this weekend.
If alla y'all didn't get your telegraphs, I don't know what to tell you.
Are you saying my Ouija board is defective? HOW DARE YOU.
I am also being nibbled to death by ducks, with a side of the Brain Raccoons telling me that I suck at my job, and now that the team has another writer, they're going to get rid of me. I know this isn't true, but the Brain Raccoons are so very loud right now.
Just back from Stitch Niche - the library's twice monthly fibery group and got invited to a Ramadan feast. But am much too tired to go. (And immediately thought how tough to have to fast til sundown at the time when the days are the longest.)
Neat, sumi! Ramadan moves around the calendar, anytime it falls in the summer must be hard.
I meant to say sorry about the ducks, Noise, and hang in there. You too Jilli.
I am on my way to my niece's high school graduation, currently full of wine with latte in hand. It's a good balance. I started this trip walking down the street pulling my luggage behind me, and soon I'll be in the air. What a world!
