Good luck, sj.
I am only slightly more work-functional than yesterday. But better is good I guess.

It's just frustrating because she's completely capable of saying hungry but doesn't do so consistently.
I think part of my problem finding a sitter is I don't really trust anyone. How do I hire a stranger to watch my baby?

It is really tough! That's why I prefer to get recommendations from other local moms, I know we all have each other's best interests in mind.
On that note, I just got a recommendation for a sitter named Jessica from a mom also named Jessica. Come on, 1970s parents, think outside the box!
The only local mom I know with a kid is the one I used to babysit for. I guess I should start to be social and meet people. Now that ltc can be led to the car by hand and I do t have to carry the heavy car seat, I have no excuse not to.
Our new place has some things I have always wanted...like two bathrooms, so we have our own bathroom. It has fixed up kitchen and bathrooms, but not in the style I would have wanted, but I can work around that. Before we bought it, I insisted on one change--we are adding a sun room on the back of the house, so we can look out over the fields and woods.
We are actually kind of sort of talking about getting miniature goats, since we have a barn.

Ugh, amyth, on both the misdial and the vending machine. May the next slight error on your part or any devices bring you unicorns and rainbows.
At what point is ltc going to learn to say, I'm hungry instead of throwing a major tantrum?
Still having trouble with that myself - telling that I'm hungry and not just frustrated and whatnot. So maybe in 40 years?
Oh, you bought a place, Scrappy? I think I saw that you had sold your California place but not that you had bought already. Say yes to goats!

F2F AT SCRAPPY'S.
The risk with miniature goats, from what I've heard, is that they frequently turn out to be regular-sized goats. (Same as with other mini/dwarf animals. It's really easy to pass off babies as miniature.) So as long as you don't mind accidentally having bigger goats than you originally planned for, I say go for it!
Any kind of goat! I think if you get the assortment you might get lucky and have a fainter or a tree-climber in the mix. (They come like that right? They should.)
"I'd like a mixed assortment of goats, please. And don't just pack it with fillers, like brown goats or basic postage stamps. I want good ones."
I'm sorry, amyth. A reasonable amount of cool ranch Doritos should not be that hard to come by.

ETA: Matt, I think I would be happy in a house with any or all of those rooms.
