Well, exactly.
I listened to an interesting podcast where a woman with Asperger's underwent some treatment that let her understand emotional cues. The effect only lasted about ninety minutes and doesn't work at all for most people, but it was interesting to hear her talk about getting a glimpse at what it was like. I could really relate to what she described in people's responses not always making sense. Made me wonder what it's like to be able to 'see' emotional nuance. Maybe the reason I find it so hard to talk to people in person or over the phone, but can do a lot better in text is because I don't get that sensation of missing things or not quite getting it. I always feel like talking to someone in person takes so much calculation while text is so much less effort.

Well, Casper pulled it out and passed both latin and math. No summer school! Phew.
One of the things I never expected about parenting is that I would be so happy about a couple of Ds.

Well, I rearranged my whole schedule this week in order to have a late-Friday meeting with a very difficult member of a particular organization, to work out logistics for a ceremony next week. Since today is my regular day off, I switched my schedule and took Monday off instead, and worked today. And then around 10AM I learned she'd cancelled the meeting.
!!!
Anyway, we got 4 hours of admin leave today because of the holiday weekend, so I took myself to a very nice lunch with a beer, and then went home and took a long nap. So, not too bad, but I'm somewhat annoyed because I was stressing all week about this meeting.
Ugh, that is super annoying!

And now we have had our daily newsdrop of scandal about the Trumps, this one involving Kushner asking to set up secured communications with Moscow at the Russian Embassy during the transition.
....
How long until indictments drop? Seriously.
How stupid do you have to be to set up something like that with the Russians? How do you think, 'Hey this is a good idea.'
