My DH is sad that he never got to pull a lever. I liked those. I voted once in Davis, CA with an actual wood ballot box.
I am headachy from the anticipation. Mal was eating his shirt by noon. Driving past a house with a YUGE confederate flag and Trump sign didn't help.
The San Francisco Zoo has a live red panda cam on Facebook in case you need something cute.
Man, those old lever machines were great. So satisfying, with the kaTHUNK noise and the actual physical confirmation of voting!
Plus as somebody just reminded me, they automatically opened the curtain behind you when the vote was registered and the tumblers reset. A very dramatic flourish.
ZOMG tiny Chinese Crested fluffballs!
When do polls start to close? Or is that going to be iffy due to long lines?
There's a breed called the Chinook that was created by breeding Huskies and mastiffs.

So true! My first votes in NY were the lever machines with the automatic curtain. It was fun, but I have more confidence in the optical reader ballots. Paper backup, no chads.

Parts of IN and KY close at 6:00 Eastern. I doubt any results will be available until 7:00, when the rest of those states (along with 5 others, including VA, SC, GA, FL, and VT) close. I suspect serious results will start coming in after NC, WV, and OH close at 7:30.
So some results will start showing up when I get off work. Will they release the early vote results at poll close?
Timelies all!
Surgery ~ma for your dad, msbelle.
Voted this morning before I went to work. We have the paper ballots where you fill in the bubbles and then scan it.
