Well, that was a not exactly productive ninety minutes of me crying straight through my therapy session.

I suck at this. It's TOO HARD. I'm stymied.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Tom, I totally get it. And -- I'm not sure the right way to say this, but I'll give it a shot -- it was never going to be easy, or even moderately hard. Because what you're dealing with is huge and awful. It was always going to be really hard. (I suck as a motivational speaker.)

I think it's worth it, though. Even though it's hard. But I *am* sorry it's so hard.

I'm not sure you can suck at therapy. If you're showing up, you're not sucking at it.

If it helps at all to hear this, I understand how you feel. I have some idea of how much this sucks. I care about you, and I'm in your corner, for what that's worth.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm sorry it is so hard, Tom. If only I had words that would make a difference.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm sorry it is so hard, Tom. If only I had words that would make a difference.

What Laura said.

Ah man, I'm sorry Tom. That sounds awfully rough.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

It does suck, Tom. I'm sorry. But it doesn't mean you suck.

And unrelated, these people on Hoarders have brought in a medium to help find mortgage papers in their dead mother's house.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

If you're showing up, you're not sucking at it.

What Steph said.

Dana, you must report back on whether they find them!

The medium told them they would not. Or, rather, the necklace that they were using to communicate with their mother moved side-to-side, indicating that there were no papers.

Fortunately for my peace of mind, they did clean out the house anyway. It seems likely that their mother, who clearly had issues, either lied or was mistaken about the papers.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I ended up watching a couple of episodes of hoarders last night, thanks to you, Dana. One guy actually seemed like the wounds that lead him to collecting EVERYTHING were actually on a path to being healed.

But in another episode, a lady had about 15 dogs in her hoard and 15 minutes into the cleanup, a "friend" asked if she could have one of the extra dog dishes. The homeowner snapped No and the "friend" turned into an uber bitch, storming off, calling the homeowner all kinds of horrible names. Like, face directly to the camera and calling her a pig.
