Natter 75: More Than a Million Natters Served
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I hope rest and relief come soon, aurelia.
I think one of the hardest parts of parenting must be not keeping a grudge
It isn't too hard with little ones, but it is more an issue with rotten teens.
After a month of frustrations the NYT finally fixed their distribution issues and provided me a nice fat newspaper to read in bed with coffee provided by DH. Bliss. I had written them saying after 3 weeks in a row of no Sunday paper just forget it and leave me on internet access only and they wrote back with a super apologetic email saying they were having issues but promised it would be fixed and credits were forthcoming, and please give them another chance. So I did and they delivered!
Coffee and newspaper in bed! Life is good.
Especially when the cat joins me.
I doing it right now AIFG
Tea and digital newspaper on the couch. TCG is putting ltc down for her nap. Life is also good here.
cooking up a mess of eggs, bacon, chard, and cottage cheese for my post-run brunch. SO HOT out there. But nice in my cool house.
I said I would make a pie for family dinner tonight, thinking about a banana cream pie, but that does assume I can get bananas at the right level of ripeness.
Jesse, I love my Danskos for their arch support. But, as with all shoes, it's how they fit the foot in question that's the main issue. I hope they work out for you.
Timelies all!
Just hanging around, doing nothing.
Timelies, everyone! I spent the morning at a neighbor's place watching the last Premier League games of the season. The 'Spurs won handily (or perhaps "footily"), which was nice, and ended second in the league.
After doing some sweeping and whatnot on the front porch, I'm now making summer chili for lunches this week and cherry pie for new Twin Peaks viewing tomorrow evening. It's a beautiful, cool gray day, and I'm savoring it before the onslaught of summer heat.
I went to Walmart. There was walking through aisles, and that's quite enough of that for today.
Good on you, Dana!
Oh, I forgot to mention, I saw the stage production of Monsoon Wedding, the musical last night. It's WONDERFUL and people should see it if it comes through.
After the walking there was also sitting up at a restaurant. Yesterday I went to a family birthday party, which had the side effect of impressing people. Surgery two days ago, she's still at the party.
I did leave the party early.
Now I'm home. I think, hopefully, I'll be off the narcotics by tomorrow, though the muscle relaxant is certainly powerful enough. I'd planned to work, but maybe not.
