All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I've spent the last two days nursing a migraine which finally seems to be fading some. So naturally, at 2:30am, I am now wide awake and hungry.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hope you got decent sleep, aurelia.

I think one of the hardest parts of parenting must be not keeping a grudge. Earlier this morning, the kids next door were getting in trouble and then an hour later, they were teaching the little one how to ride a two-wheeler. I feel like I would still be annoyed from the earlier stuff!

And in other news, I bought some Danskos for the first time yesterday. I think they are great? But of course I won't be sure until I really wear them, and then it will be too late to return them. So we'll see!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Wishing you ease of pain and rest, aurelia.

Not a parent, but in my experience it is entirely possible to do fun things with and teach skills to people I'm annoyed with.

Still awake. The pain has continued to fade so I've been reading. I may nap for a bit now though.

Our wings are not tired.

I hope rest and relief come soon, aurelia.

It isn't too hard with little ones, but it is more an issue with rotten teens.

After a month of frustrations the NYT finally fixed their distribution issues and provided me a nice fat newspaper to read in bed with coffee provided by DH. Bliss. I had written them saying after 3 weeks in a row of no Sunday paper just forget it and leave me on internet access only and they wrote back with a super apologetic email saying they were having issues but promised it would be fixed and credits were forthcoming, and please give them another chance. So I did and they delivered!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Tea and digital newspaper on the couch. TCG is putting ltc down for her nap. Life is also good here.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

cooking up a mess of eggs, bacon, chard, and cottage cheese for my post-run brunch. SO HOT out there. But nice in my cool house.

I said I would make a pie for family dinner tonight, thinking about a banana cream pie, but that does assume I can get bananas at the right level of ripeness.

Jesse, I love my Danskos for their arch support. But, as with all shoes, it's how they fit the foot in question that's the main issue. I hope they work out for you.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Just hanging around, doing nothing.
