Our wings are not tired

Kat, that is just a whole bunch of WTF!

I need to rage about a company that I'm dealing with that is having all sorts of issues getting a payment to my company. They seem to have completely frelled up an international wire transfer. All the other ones worked for the past year, and then they decided to switch banks in the middle of a huge project right in the middle of payment deadlines and it's just a mess, and they are on Singapore time which means that the two banks are never open at the same time.

They need to get their act together and get my company paid, and yet someone it keeps getting pushed back onto me, with a subtext that I've done something to mess up the transfer. Yeah, not how it works.

Okay, sorry, I needed to get that out.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Oh, Kat, how awful for all of you.

Argh, Kat! That really sucks.

I am disappointed in one of the managers here who I thought was awesome and cool. But My Nemesis works for her and apparently has convinced her that my expertise is unnecessary. OK then! ::wipes hands::

Woah, I have 3 whole episodes of Steven Universe to watch! Yay!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ugh, ND, that is terrible. How frustrating!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Grr, argh.

Too headachy from brain usage to say more in sympathy with those who have nastiness and unpleasantness afoot at work.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

ND that is terrible. Banks! Bah!

Brain usage is good but tiring.

I think things will be okay. I just have to plow through it.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh man, Kat. Grrr. I'm glad you were honest with your students.

Boo sucky work stuff for Kat and ND and Suela! Boo. I am telling myself one more work day until I'm on vacation.

Went to a cool bar tonight for a friend's birthday--it has all KINdS of arcade games and it's all free! Plus board games and pinball (pinball is not free, oddly). So we played rock band, and various car racing games and shootIng games and Street Fighter and a weird bowling game...

I am watching a PBS hour-long special about pie shops around the US. And now I need to make some pie.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

The incision is way less painful today, which is great. It's balanced out by all of the muscles that are like "what the fuck did you just put us through, why are we suddenly walking differently?"
