Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Congratulations, Scrappy! Good luck with the reinforcement training, that sure sounds like a good idea.
We met with the realtors and our house sold for over 700k!!!!1!!!! We're both flabbergasted. It's a nice house, but it only has one bathroom.
Wow. Our house would probably go for about 120k and we have 3 baths, 3 bedrooms, a 2 car garage and a half-acre of land.
This weekend I did four loads of laundry, and put away five. I've done three loads of dishes. I've broken down what seems like a million cardboard boxes that have been accumulating. Done some kitchen cleaning. Unclogged toilets twice. Jump started our Nissan that has been derelict for months. Discovered the battery was dead and got it replaced (still under warranty so no cost but super annoying because I wanted to run codes and fix the A/C, not deal with the battery). I edited and printed pictures for a multi-picture frame for my wife's office, hung the frame. Did a little work on my wife's office computer. Went on a massive grocery store trip, cooked dinner both nights, and did some coding on a web app for my wife's soon to be started business.
And I managed to get in exercise on both days. Unfortunately that still left a number of tasks on the table.
That sounds like a lot, Gud!
Yeah, I ran Saturday morning. And after that I sat on my ass and reheated some leftovers and read. And then I went and got ice cream, then went to a friend's house where we made a meal kit dinner and watched a movie. Today I got a massage and went to target. And ate last nights leftovers. I guess I unloaded the dishwasher in there somewhere.
Very happy for you, Scrappy!
Sadly, we are on the other side of the house-buying situation. Prices have always been crazy in LA, but they are even more stupid high right now, and people are swooping in to buy things for cash as investment properties whenever something that might be affordable (for all values of "affordable" that are half a million for a run-down 2-bedroom) pops up. At this point we are somewhat resigned to never being able to buy a house within commuting distance. Ah well. At least our rental situation is pretty stable.
Congrats on the house, Scrappy!
And Pix, I hear you, housing in LA is nuts
Unfortunately that still left a number of tasks on the table.
Perhaps, but it sounds like a number of tasks got done. I try not to let what I didn't do overshadow what I did do (sometimes I don't make that one, I admit.)
