My aunt Joyce passed away at 2:20 a.m. today.
She was a huge positive influence on my life, and while I've been here I've been hearing stories about all the wonderful things she's done to help other people.
I'll post more about her later. Despite sleeping late today (again) I am just exhausted. I'm just going to take it easy today before my flight early tomorrow. (It hasn't been cancelled yet!)
I'm so sorry, tommyrot. I'm glad you were able to be there.
I'm sorry tommyrot. I'm sure it meant a lot to your family that you were able to be there. I hope you have non-stressful travels tomorrow.
Dog!
I'm so sorry, tommyrot. I'm kind of glad you were still out here when she passed, even though it was due to the fuckery of the airline. It just seems kind of better. I look forward to hearing about Joyce when you are better rested. And good luck getting home.
I'm sorry, tommyrot. I'm so glad you made it out there.
I'm so sorry, Tom, and glad you were able to be there.
In other news it's Porchfest today, which used to be like, local musicians went out on their own front porches. Now it's a whole Thing and there are mobs of people drinking in public, and I Do Not Approve. On the other hand, I heard my friend play with my favorite brass band (for about one minute), and now I kind of want to join them. Not that I can play an instrument!
