Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Best thoughts to your dad, Rebecca. Less good thoughts to your kid!

Sorry, msbelle. Not a easy start.

I voted. My presidential vote won't make any difference, but the Senator vote might matter. State reps were effectively unopposed.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

In a separate post, does anyone know about this woman [link] Robin Laverne Wilson, who is running for Senator in New York State? I am thinking about voting for her, because Chuck Schumer is most likely a shoe in.

Sound like a rubbish start, msbelle. Here's hoping all goes well for your dad.

I hate to put a damper on things, but please don't start counting your presidents before they are elected. The last British General Election and (particularly) the Brexit Referendum have made me extremely wary. Now, I would rather prepare for the worst and be pleasantly surprised than expect everything to be fine and suffer a cruel awakening the morning after.

Edit: my point being that not a single advance poll for either predicted the actual results.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I voted for Schumer, Sophia, sorry!

From what I understand the polling on Brexit indicated that it was likely to pass, but nobody believed it. At least the polling points to a Hillary win. Not that I will be breathing easy until it's over.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Fiona, there's a lot of messages going out not to count on anything, to get out there and vote, so hopefully we won't have the surprise you did. I hope.

Otherwise, tomorrow morning may start of like msbelle's.

As I recall almost everyone predicted Remain winning, though by increasingly narrow margins. But you may be right, to be honest I have tried to purge most of late June from my memory.
