From what I understand the polling on Brexit indicated that it was likely to pass, but nobody believed it.
As I recall almost everyone predicted Remain winning, though by increasingly narrow margins. But you may be right, to be honest I have tried to purge most of late June from my memory.
I currently have no work to do. So I'm just twiddling my thumbs waiting for election news this evening.
I'd take a nap but I'm too stressed.
~ma for your dad, msbelle, and sympathies for the morning.
I'm off social media for most of the day--as on other occasions, you guys are my information source. If it's bad news, here there'll be blunted shock and sympathy, and if it's good, there'll be unfettered celebration. No place I'd rather spend the day, no folks I'd rather be among.
Did I say? We dropped off our ballots last week, and avoided any lines.
Surgery~ma for your dad, msbelle. I hope your day improves.
I actually did not vote for my local open positions (city council members, city clerk, and city treasurer) because they were uncontested races and I don't know anything at all about the candidates, so whatevs.
Also didn't vote on whether adult films' condom requirements, because why the hell is that a Proposition and not some regulatory offices whaddayacallit?
Surgery~ma for your dad, msbelle! I hope your day gets better quickly.
I voted 2 weeks ago (thank goodness for WA being mail-in/drop off ballot), and am now mostly not looking at the news. I've got the SF Zoo livestream red panda cam open in another window for distraction.
Surgery ~ma for your father, msbelle! Sorry about the rotten start to your day, hope the rest is better!
Longest line I ever saw at my polling place. One of the attendants said there was a long line already half an hour before the polls opened. But they were efficient and it moved quickly. I wore my Avengers t-shirt and a blue jacket, because I don't own a pantsuit.
Trying to get motivated by my meeting with my boss tomorrow morning to check some things off the list. Bleh.
Oh yeah, also my dad has been taken into surgery, so now that 5-6 hour wait has started.
Wow - best thoughts to him and tons of ~ma. Now I feel like a heel because I just read this and had that frivolous chat with you earlier on FB.
You rock and he will figure it out at some point. I had the same issue with CJ and now he is up and out of the house before I even wake up most mornings. Though, planning ahead and taking care of the things needed to register for Spring classes has been lacking. But hey - that is on him. He wants to go into the Army after he finishes his AA and if he can't get registered I'm about ready to tell him, ok - fine - Army now. Get going on something. (I have been waiting until after today to have THAT conversation though).
