Yay Scrappy! That's exciting.
Jesus, the process of having to deal with a doctor's office when you're sick is such a cruel joke.
Yes.

That is awesome news, Scrappy. So happy to hear this!
When you are done with the house~selling~ma please pass it this way. I have a couple interested parties and would love to sell the house without having to go through the whole listing and open house deal again. Just had a realtor call earlier today to ask permission to show the house later this week to a very interested party even though it isn't currently listed. The electric company is burying the electric lines tomorrow so we asked him to wait until that was done since there is a big ditch in the backyard at the moment.
Maybe I'll ask her to try to light a fire under him for the next one we all do together.
I've definitely also had times when I've started a race with a friend, gone our own speeds partway in, and then met back up at the finish line. (Though usually I'm the slow one in that case! I've never minded being left behind to walk/jog while my running partner runs ahead.)
Horrible auto accident a couple of miles from my office that happened while I was at a convenience store getting snacks—a car-motorcyle collision that killed the cyclist and sprayed debris all over the highway. It wasn't immediately obvious if anyone else was hurt, but the sheriff's deputy on scene was having to hold a frantic woman back.
Just found out Joyce, my favorite aunt, went into hospice today. They're giving her two days to two weeks.
I'm flying to Oakland tomorrow to see her, and will fly back on Saturday.
My sister has only gotten voicemails from my uncle, so we don't know if our aunt is alert and knows what's going on or not. But we're both going anyway.
{{tommyrot and family}} I am so sorry.
The nurse called me back, hooray. She squeezed me in to see the doctor on Wednesday, so I don't have to wait until next Monday, which was the original plan. Given the option between trying another shot and going ahead with the surgery, I'm choosing to just get the damn surgery done. Get it out of the way so I can recover in enough time for my trip to Europe.
Scrappy, that's awesome. I would love whatever house karma you have leftover after dispensing some to Laura.
I'm sorry, tommy. It's good that you can go out there.
Oh, no, Matt. How awful.
And tommyrot. Yeah, you gotta go. Peace and hugs to all of you.
Glad you don't have to wait too long, Dana.
I think I will be in Oakland on Wed evening, btw, if you need someone to pick up a meal or something like that.
Timelies all!
I'm sorry, tommyrot.
Meanwhile, Mr. S has decided its "throw things down the stairs" time. Again.
