And it seems that the more dire your health situation, the less helpful the doctors' offices are. When I had my stroke (2006), I needed to go back to see the neurologist; her office let me make an appointment, then cancelled. At least twice. Then announced she was going on maternity leave ... and didn't offer me anyone else to see. I needed to get a refill on the blood thinner, but I couldn't get in to see a doctor to prescribe it and they wouldn't call it in. I finally got in to see a doctor who said he didn't actually deal with stroke patients - he was a movement disorder specialist. But he did prescribe the medication AND referred me to the right specialist.

Jesus, Toddson. What a clusterfuck.
Wow, that is terrible!
Holy Crap, Todd. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. That's beyond ridiculous.
First, I need to say how very very much I hate insurance companies and the medical establishment, on behalf of Buffistas and of, well, all Americans. Being in HR, I have to discuss health insurance with employees fairly often, and it's hard not to go off into angry rants.
Second, we have six (!!!) offers for our house, and we are meeting with the realtors tomorrow to discuss next steps. IT'S REALLY HAPPENING.
Woo hoo Scrappy!!!
That's great, Scrappy!
Awesome, Scrappy.
Yay Scrappy! That's exciting.
Jesus, the process of having to deal with a doctor's office when you're sick is such a cruel joke.
Yes.
That is awesome news, Scrappy. So happy to hear this!
When you are done with the house~selling~ma please pass it this way. I have a couple interested parties and would love to sell the house without having to go through the whole listing and open house deal again. Just had a realtor call earlier today to ask permission to show the house later this week to a very interested party even though it isn't currently listed. The electric company is burying the electric lines tomorrow so we asked him to wait until that was done since there is a big ditch in the backyard at the moment.
