Yay Connie!

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
So I do think that SYTTD is one of those sneakily liberalizing forces in the world, in showing all kinds of people, BUT I am skeptical about these poly people. The guy met the second wife on a sugar daddy site, and apparently didn't say up front that he already had one wife? (Sorry if spoilers, Dana!)
Oh, speaking of Dana -- how's your back?
I keep scolding myself for decadence for enjoying my own air conditioning. The whole Puritan gallery in my head is looking at each other guiltily for wallowing in comfort and enjoying playing with the computerized radio. My brain is silly.
Congrats on the car, Connie! I'll be interested in how it works out for you. The Impreza is high on my list of possible cars when I finally replace my Fit. (Hopefully not for a few years yet, but I like to plan ahead.)
Back is still hurting, unfortunately. It was really bad earlier, to the point where i thought of canceling tonight's plans, but it has improved since then.
Flying back home tomorrow, and I'll talk to doctors on Monday.
Car! 5k! Fascinators! Yay!
Back pain boo
I survived Beethoven!
And didn't get nearly as lost as previously.
Dana, if I can help you with any info -- though a lot has changed in the last 14 years (damn, has it been *14* years already???) -- let me know.
Tim didn't walk it with me, so I knew I'd need music to keep me from getting bored and thinking "Are we THERE yet???" after about half a mile.
I have only done one 5k and I had Kelly and her bf with me. And while they did great encouraging me and all that, I wondered how I would have fared had I just been able to plug into Hamilton and GO. I need to find another 5k.
This is the only 5K I've walked without Tim...and the only one where I finished in under an hour. Hmmm.
When my mom and I walk together and chat we are both slower. After last week's 5k I was in line for the after-race buffet behind a woman who had run a personal best and whose headphones crapped out on her right at the start, so we theorized that that was the key to going fast. Who knows!
