Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

We got the DVD of Batman v Superman at the library, because I decided I wanted to see it before Wonder Woman is released.

I like Batfleck a LOT. And Gal Gadot looks fantastic as Wonder Woman. And that's about all the praise I have for the movie. Oh! I like Jeremy Irons as Alfred a LOT, too.

I hope that whoever thought that was a good iteration of Lex Luthor was fired. Good lord.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

But he's edgy and in your face. He's the Poochie of Lex Luthors.

Those were my exact thoughts about B v S. I was thoroughly surprised by Batfleck. Unfortunately, the same people who Poochied Luthor are still in charge for Justice League.

Batfleck branding criminals is ridiculous, but not as out of character as Ma "Fuck 'Em All!" Kent.

Unfortunately, the same people who Poochied Luthor are still in charge for Justice League.

And if that wasn't bad enough, Joss is doing rewrites (or reshoots, or something). Can one dude who has demonstrated that he doesn't give a shit about characterization improve upon the work of another dude who demonstrated that he doesn't give a shit about characterization? Doubtful.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

At least Joss knows how to assemble scenes so they make narrative sense?

I'll grant him that much.

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

At least Joss knows how to break up the grimm with a joke now and then?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Just watched Get Out. Holy shit.

Also, I'm glad it ended the way it did.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

And from a while ago:

Anyone seen The Girl With All the Gifts ? I love the book and liked the movie, though not as much as the book.

We just finished it. Great movie. I have not read the book, so that's interesting about the motivation change. Wikipedia actually says the book and the film were written in tandem, which is an interesting approach.
