Buffista Movies Across the 8th Dimension!
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
One of the previews I saw for GotG was for a movie called The Hitman's Bodyguard. It's got Samuel L. Jackson as the Hitman and someone I didn't recognize as the Bodyguard, and they played Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You". It looks hysterical.
We saw the preview for that (the bodyguard is Ryan Reynolds, aka Deadpool), and I am totally going to see it.
Oh yeah, the use of the song in the trailer sold me on it immediately.
I'm going to see it, and if you think I won't be watching it as "Deadpool is Nick Fury's Bodyguard" you will be very, very mistaken.
The fics will be awesome.
So, GotG, 3D?
-t, I saw it in 3D first and then 2D this past Sunday. Nothing really jumps out in my memory of MAN, that scene was so much better in 3D.
I could certainly tell where 3D was set up, but it wasn't too intrusive.
And also it didn't feel dark and muddy in 2D to me.
