Go see Get Out right now. NOW. NO, NOW. As Megan said upthread, don't watch the trailer or read any reviews - all you need to know is that it's really, really good. See it with an audience, if you can. This is the kind of movie you should watch in a crowded theater.
Re: spoilers - it's not a "twist" movie, but the reveal is such an incredibly pleasurable slow burn that you should not deprive yourself of it, if you can.
(I do want to go and watch it again, to see how the movie changes when it's not a surprise, but I'm REALLY glad I wasn't spoiled for the first viewing.)
And for people who are genre-shy, I don't do horror movies. (Shaun of the Dead, and The Others are literally the only exceptions I can think of off the top of my head.) And I loved this a LOT.

Basically, I need everyone to see it so that we can talk openly about THAT BIT WHERE THE THINGS HAPPENED AND YOU REALIZED LATER IT WAS ACTUALLY THAT OTHER THING HAPPENING AND IT WAS AMAZING. (Not a spoiler, literally the entire movie is those scenes.)

I actively avoid horror movies (I didn't even see Cabin in the Woods, and yes, I know it's different, but no, I *still* don't plan to see it, so you don't need to tell me I should see it), and I've been regarding Get Out in the same light. But *maybe* I'll see it. I'm intrigued.

Steph, me too (I also haven't seen Cabin In the Woods, though more from laziness than deliberate avoidance on my part), and I'm SO glad I got talked into seeing Get Out anyway.

Get Out is so much more than a horror film.
