Sinners is fantastic. I was afraid of the horror/gore, but it was fine. I loved Lovecraft Country, which was a little gorier, honestly. Still some gratuitous blood spurting, but totally worth it.
Buffista Movies Across the 8th Dimension!
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
And I bailed on the theater when my friend bailed.
Sinners really was just as good as y'all said. It would be worth seeing for the music alone, but it's all so damn good.
Yep. My only real criticism is of the actiony part of the last act, but that's in light of me having seen a million vampire movies. Nothing that's going to bother most moviegoers, and certainly doesn't eclipse all the brilliant work done on the rest of the scenes.
