I went to Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves yesterday. It was fun. Not life changing, but sometimes you just want to see pretty people in fantastical situations.

Coming in August, The Last Voyage of the Demeter. For those who know Dracula, it expands one chapter of the book.
Huh, for some reason I thought that was coming from A24, not Dreamworks. Maybe I got it mixed up with the Nosferatu remake?
Eagerly anticipating the release, regardless.
I'm curious about how they are going to end that. The trailer looks good
It looks appropriately dark and scary ... don't know how closely it will follow the book.
I can report that Renfield is every bit as ludicrous as the trailers made it seem. And since that was really all I wanted out of the movie, I was delighted. Nic Cage was made to play Dracula. And Nicholas Hoult is very very pretty.
Finally got a chance to see Honor Among Thieves with my actual D&D group today. We had a blast. Lots of Easter Eggs, lots of fun "this could happen at the table" moments and just an enjoyable story overall.

This. I have to wonder if he wasn't who Ridley had in mind when working on the script. I texted a friend that Cage had finally found the perfect role for him, along with bat, poop, and crazy face emojis.
Shoresh Aghdashloo playing a substantial role was a nice surprise too.

That was about my reaction - it was maybe a little too long, but overall I had a good time while I was watching it. My son who plays D&D got more out of it than I did, so well done movie on the Easter eggs.
Renfield surprised me in so many ways but I loved it and I'm so glad we watched it
