Wim Wenders is making a film about high-end public toilets in Japan.
Up to now I never realized how badly I want a film by Wim Wenders about high-end public toilets in Japan.
'Out Of Gas'
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Intriguing!
Did we know about this? Because it looks like it could be amazing: [link]
That looks... lush. Beautiful. And batshit crazy. (All good things, to me.)
I feel like if I opened a bottle and Idris Elba popped out, I wouldn't need any further wishes.
(Also yes, it looks bonkers in the best possible way.)
I had seen ads with just the title and a still image but hadn't licked through to a trailer or what have you. Looks interesting!
George Miller and Tilda Swinton are automatic must-sees to me, and Idris Elba is if the film doesn't involve him with CGI cat fur. All signs point to yes!
Also apparently Furiosa is in production in Australia, with Anya Taylor-Joy in Theron's role.
I'm not entirely sold on the casting, but I know she's a good actress. Very excited about that movie too...

That's not who I would've expected, but I will say that I had a massive new respect for her after watching her host SNL as she had tremendous range, comic chops and a fearless approach.
Oh, that (3,000 Years etc.) looks delicious!
In other news, I finally got around to seeing Hail, Caesar today. Normally I quite like Coen Brothers movies, but this one seemed like it didn’t really hang together. It was kind of forgettable, which is not my reaction to most Coen Bros. stuff.
