I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Oh, that (3,000 Years etc.) looks delicious!

In other news, I finally got around to seeing Hail, Caesar today. Normally I quite like Coen Brothers movies, but this one seemed like it didn’t really hang together. It was kind of forgettable, which is not my reaction to most Coen Bros. stuff.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

They could have just pared it down to the song & dance number and it would have saved me about an hour and 40 minutes without impacting my overall enjoyment.

Yeah. Although the callback to the choreography when the secret agent leaped onto the sub was cute.

Oh, well. They can't all be gems, I guess.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yeah, I can't say I vividly remember that one. I know I saw it, ISTR I went to a fancy theater for it. I appreciate that they try things that don't always land with me, though.

I went to see the new Downton movie to escape the heat and the news and everything and it was pretty darn charming.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

This looks damn near perfect and I imagine it will have CGI enhancements on-screen to potentially look even better. Just hoping DC doesn't fuck up the writing.

I hope it crosses over with Peacemaker.

I haven't watched Peacemaker, but he's canon in the Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle comics, so it seems like that door should be wide open.

The Flash movie just keeps running into disaster after disaster, and at this point, it looks like the movie might be unreleasable by Warner.

The only way to fix this, it seems, is to travel back in time to 2011 and prevent Geoff Johns from ever writing Flashpoint in the first place.
