Aww. I feel like Joshua Jackson is just in waiting to be the next George Clooney! He has this cozy quality where he seems like he is really seeing you. I don't see it that often- George Clooney in ER, Jack Black in The Holiday, Mark Ruffalo in general, but especially 13 going on Thirty. Seth Green in She's All That, with Lauren Ambrose. It is my favorite quality.
Dream casting- they make a movie of Evvie Drake Moves On, by Linda Holmes. And cast Joshua Jackson. And maybe an older Aidy Bryant. There don't seem to be any 40 plus chubby actresses that I can think of.
PS- I believe Linda Holmes was a fanfic author for Dawson's, but I don't want to out her anywhere that google can find

Melissa McCarthy's the only one I can name.
I sort of wish it weren't Aidy Bryant, Melissa McCarthy and Kathy Bates for fat white. women in Hollywood. Or if we open it up, Queen Latifah might be amazing in it! I should say the book never says Evvie is overweight, I just picture her having the body type of me!
Which I'm pretty sure is exactly what she was going for!
Yes. She is every woman. Which I guess makes Queen Latifah a god choice. I just picture me, or actual Lindy West or actual Linda Holmes.
I still remember Vonnie on Livejournal as an arbiter of Pacey/Joey fanfic. man, I am old!
Hahaha oh God. I swear my DD phase lasted, like, 6 months, tops! I lost my mind briefly and mainlined a lot of terrible fic and binge-watched 6 seasons of that ridiculous show including the entirety of Pacey's stockbroker period and... it was dark times, alright?
BTW, Sophia, you might get a kick out of the Joshua Jackson episode of Thirst Aid Kit (a podcast where two friends expound at length about their choice of lust object). They go DEEP into the appeal of S3 Pacey: [link]
(He bought her A WALL, people!)
I follow Linda Holmes on Twitter and she fancast Merritt Wever as Evvie (I actually haven't read the book). Wever has a couple of scenes in Marriage Story playing Scarlett Johansson's sister and She is so funny and also freakin' adorable. Even though I have never watched Nurse Jackie, I still remember her hilariously brief Emmy win speech: [link]
She apparently has a major role in Netflix's Unbelievable and is fantastic in it, but I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it despite its critical acclaim (it's about a sexual assault victim who was forced to recant her accusation, if I recall.)
ETA: Wever, not Weaver.
Merritt Weaver was also great in a recurring role on New GIrl as Schmidt's ex-GF who had loved him when he was fat.

Have you watched Fleabag? In S2, Andrew Scott TOTALLY has that quality. Vonnie can attest to that.
