Still, worth watching, and the music was great. They really took advantage of Cynthia Erivo's voice.
Might be worth seeing just for that.
We saw Knives Out last night. It lived up to the hype and WOW, Ana de Armas is incredible.
Also, I really want to live in that house.
I want to see that, but it doesn't appear to be playing nearby. I'm considering catching a matinee of Terminator: Dark Fate, but I suspect I will miss it...

Her singing was the highlight of Bad Times at the El Royale for me. (Well, one of them, along with Chris Hemsworth dancing in an open shirt, which sold me on seeing it from the trailer...)

Missing the Hemsworth gene as I am, her singing was the absolute highlight.
I saw The Good Liar yesterday, and it was great seeing Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren playing off each other for most of a movie. Interesting plot too, but I wish there had been earlier hints of Mirren being up to something, as I'd like to have seen her character showcased a bit more throughout the film and some cat-and-mouse between the two, rather than a big gotcha! reveal near the end. Maybe make it seem like she was running an Arsenic and Old Lace sort of scheme doing in elderly bachelors, and then reveal the twist of her actual motive.
Little Women is getting rave reviews.
There's a broadcast channel that runs older movies ... some good, some terrible. I recently caught one I love - Searching for Bobby Fisher - I'd forgotten how good it was. I can recommend it for good performances (Joe Mantegna, Joan Allen, Ben Kingsley, Lawrence Fishburn as a trash-talking chess hustler!) and a happy ending (which leaves me sniffly). Very sweet.
Bobby Fisher is one of my eternally favorite movies. Everyone in it, except perhaps for Allen, plays against type, and the whole film is good. Really good.
