Also, you can tell it's not gonna have a happy ending when the main guy's all bumpy.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

That number is pretty delightful.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

It's a really good cast, even if Brosnan can't sing. At least Skarsgard had the sense to Rex Harrison his songs.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Because in my recording of Mamma Mia!, the guy playing the role Brosnan plays is easily the weakest voice on there, it's my headcanon that they do that on purpose with that character. Like a vulnerable note or something. (Hey, my head, my canon!)

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I think my favorite part though is during "Dancing Queen" when the elderly woman carrying a huge bundle of sticks joyfully throws them aside and joins the procession.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

The Comic-Con trailers for Wonder Woman and for Justice League actually look pretty good! Wonder Woman more so, I think, but I'm surprised at how promising Justice League looks.

Thrive to spite them

I loved the Wonder Woman trailer. I was getting into and I realized it was set in WWI and the scene of her going over the trenches.

Yeah, and Captain Kirk is wearing the Blue Max and flying an Eindecker. What's up with that?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We saw Star Trek Beyond today. It was the fist movie I have seen in the theater in over a year, and it was just so much fun and perfectly what I needed.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I saw it too. We went with our pal Andy, who was the prop master on it, so that made it extra cool. I really enjoyed it--it just flew along, didn't it?

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Saw Les Innocentes (which was called Agnus Dei at Sundance but is now The Innocents for some reason). It really just blew me away. Serious themes and complex characters, but also humor at times. It's especially interesting on faith. The cast is mostly women who give incredible performances. Beautiful cinematography. I will not be surprised if this shows up in the foreign-language category at the Oscars.

tl;dr: Like Bresson, but good.
