Mal: Well said. Wasn't that well said, Zoe? Zoe: Had a kind poetry to it, sir.

'Out Of Gas'

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2015: Goodnight moon

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Thanksgivukkahmas, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering.

Go away, 2015.

"You should never say bad things about the dead, only good… Joan Crawford is dead. Good.” —Bette Davis

Some good news, my cousin Chuck has also been fighting cancer the last couple of years, but is hanging in there and still with us despite a diagnosis of 6-12 months to live back in 2013. He is having chemo today and then going in to work later this afternoon.

Our wings are not tired.

Love reading the good news! Sharing eases the struggles and increases the joys.

I am cautiously optimistic about my first born son. You all know the worries I have suffered over recent years. He seems to be moving in a positive direction. He and his father both seem to be making an effort at not fighting, a challenge for both of them. Dad has said nothing about his past shoulder length hair and impressive beard. And son has been going to work with me and acting and dressing appropriately for the environments. He gained 30 pounds! He is almost 200 lbs now, which on a 6'6" frame is very slender, but a whole lot better than 170.

I need to move him more into a training position. He seems to really enjoy getting complements from the doctors and nurses when he is on site. Also, he should be starting on line school in January. Feeling hopeful.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

That's good news, for sure, Laura. All fingers crossed for that to continue.

And yes, good news is a necessary antidote/bracket/balance/relief from bad news. We need it.

I, for one, don't wish to see any more message notifications in the right-hand thread unless somebody's being born, being promoted, being published, or other good thing. I'm kinda gunshy of the right-hand threads right now.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

That all sounds like good news to me, Laura. And congratulations ND on all your well-earned success!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Love your card, Typo!

And yours, Suzi. The snowflake is gorgeous - go you!

Suzi, thank you for the card and star! The star is hanging on the wall, making my kitchen look all Christmasy.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Suzi, did you send me the green snowflake? It appeared mysteriously, it must have fallen out of the envelope. It's lovely!

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

It was likely me unless someone else made snowflakes. I had a blast making them and it is fun seeing them reach their new homes. Thanks for letting me share with y'all.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Suzi thank you so much! It was waiting for me when I got back from surgery. I didn't have time to put ornaments on my tree before I went in, so it's the only ornament on my tree, and it looks beautiful.
