My lunch was small an unsatisfactory, so now I'm in the stage of being so hungry I can't decide what I want for dinner. Which is still a while away.

I've called one place at 2175 Market that doesn't have any 1-bedrooms available, but I'm scheduled to see the building Saturday morning just in case they have an opening sometime.
I'm scheduled to see this place in the Mission tomorrow morning, although its wildly varied Yelp reviews are probably not the best sign: [link]
Now I'm going to investigate Craigslist for places to see until it's time to leave for Park West.
I find Yelp reviews to be almost always wildly varying. It helps if you can tell which ones are nuts. "This place sucked -- I was in the mood for a burger, but it's a sushi restaurant!" "I drive by this playground all the time -- it looks cute!"

Yeah, but these are indicating that it's going to skew a much younger demographic that likes partying. Another leasing agent has sent me two options, one at 795 Pine and other at 861 Post, which is closer to the Tenderloin than I'd like to be. Ugh.
I'm promising myself so many cocktails if I just keep calling strangers from Craigslist.
For the third time this week Oz has pissed on something of mine. This time it was a sneaker that was only about a month old. I caught him in the act, and the shoe is salvageable, but man, this fucking cat! I yelled at him and chased him down the basement, where he's going to stay until I calm down...maybe by Christmas.
Does anyone have experience with wood burning or faux wood burning? I'm going to make Christmas tree ornaments out of wood cross section (tree cookies) and I want to embellish them. I read one diy that was rubbing wet inkjet printouts to transfer the ink. Didn't work. Spent $35 on a wood burning tool and tested it on chamaecyparis wood, achieved bending the tip of the tool but no burning. The burner came with a "transfer" attachment for ink printouts that ice yet to try.
Are certain woods better for certain processes? Do I need softer woods? What was using had been stored in a barn for about four months, and had been dead before that, so it was quite dry/cured. It's also very hard and rot resistant.
Any advice or tips would be appreciated!

Oh yeah, when you can tell what they're getting at.... "Best building ever! So many parties!! 5 stars"
I feel I have to confess that I just roasted cauliflower for the first time, and I wasn't that into it. I think part of my problem is I love raw veg so much, it's not like all of a sudden I like stuff roasted. It was fine!
Tommy, I've had fillings fall out before, but not like that! WTF? Hate viruses, too.
All right, I've placed a hold on a unit at Park West: [link]
Cons: there's no closet space in the bathroom or the bedroom, they're still renovating the building, and the apartment was really warm went we went in to view it (no A/C). Pros: the kitchen is really nice with plenty of storage, the living room is spacious, there's an in-unit W/D, and it's the top floor so nobody will be above me making a racket. I also qualify for their $99 deposit & free accent wall special.
Assuming my application goes through and I don't magically find anything better, this probably is it. I guess. Maybe. Whatever, I'm going out to buy alcohol now.
