All right, I've placed a hold on a unit at Park West: [link]
Cons: there's no closet space in the bathroom or the bedroom, they're still renovating the building, and the apartment was really warm went we went in to view it (no A/C). Pros: the kitchen is really nice with plenty of storage, the living room is spacious, there's an in-unit W/D, and it's the top floor so nobody will be above me making a racket. I also qualify for their $99 deposit & free accent wall special.
Assuming my application goes through and I don't magically find anything better, this probably is it. I guess. Maybe. Whatever, I'm going out to buy alcohol now.
Congrats! At least that's a thing you can check off.
"free accent wall special"? Like, they'll put an extra wall in your apartment, just for decoration?
Sweet! Those cons do not sound terrible and that is a sweet-ass kitchen.
I think I just cracked a tooth. Shit. Guess I should figure out my dental insurance.
My mind still boggles at the rent. It would take me two months wages to pay one month rent, forget buying groceries or any other necessities.
TV shows should not have alarms that sound just like my damned water alarm when I'm doing laundry.
Congrats, shrift, on finding something. Relax and booze.
At least it appears to be the cleanest living space not inhabited by a bubble boy? I've never even walked through an apartment that modern and spotless.
Yeah, those cons don't sound too hard to address. (I am slightly horrified by no AC, but I know that's a me thing.)

They will paint one wall a color of my choosing from a selection of 12-16 colors.

It's been renovated and I will be the first person to live there.
I have a beer! That I need to finish quickly so I can get on the N-Judah.

I'm pretty sure that most places in SF don't have it. Like London.
