Sooner or later, you're gonna want it. And the second — the second — that happens, you know I'll be there. I'll slip in, have myself a real good day.

Me too, even if I rarely run afoul of it. My doctor, or even an accredited pharmacist putting the brakes on a prescription out of concern for my health I could put up with, but I do not like having a window of a few days in which I can refill before withdrawal symptoms start thanks to some insurance analyst's spreadsheet.

I have achieved burrito. One more meeting and then I can focus on apartments. I'm reasonably sure I've put in about 40 hours already this week, so I'm mostly blowing off work on Friday unless something urgent comes up.

My email files (maybe other files too) have been encrypted and if we pay the virus people money they'll send us the encryption key.

They probably won't send you the encryption key, and even if they did, they'd likely use your payment instrument to continue adding additional charges. I'd go with new HD & reinstall.

The cryptolocker stuff is showing up more and more often. I've dealt with 3 in the last six months.

edit: that is, customers calling in wanting to know why they can't get to their fiels

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah. I think I can convince my boss a new HD and reinstall would result in the least time wasted.

AVG is still looking at some files and screenshots I sent them. I also sent them the ransomware text. But I have a feeling this is beyond them.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Whoa, that sounds so crazy! Like on The Good Wife! But probably less dramatic.

Also, if you Google, there are always coupon codes for Dorco, so you can stock up for SUPER cheap.

I am excite!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

>I need to take 60mg of my AD but it doesn't come in that dosage, so I take 3 20mg pills a day. Which insurance thinks is 3 months worth. Ummmm, no.

That happens with Tim's Ritalin. It's super annoying. Plus our insurance company's pharmacy plan is weird and charges a lot for Ritalin even though it's generic.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm setting this one on automatic refill from now on. When it gets close to the end, they either refill it or arrange for re-authorization, and then let me know when it's ready. No more of this last-minute BS. They're treating this like it's a narcotic, which it very is not. And I'm on nearly the lowest possible dose, anyway, it's not like there's reason to believe I'm abusing it.

Eh, I shouldn't stress about it. They'll fix it, I'll get it, I'll be fine even if I'm without it a couple days, it has a long half-life. It's just the principle of the thing, you know?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

It's totally the principle of the thing. I (admittedly, through my own stupidity) cut it a little late on getting a refill of my migraine preventative. Then the mail-order prescription company said they needed unspecified "information" from the doctor's office, which they let me know by leaving a message on my answering machine that didn't mention which medication or member of the household this applied to. Then when I tried to call my doctor's office to get some pills to tide me over, she was out of town, and when her office finally got something called into Walgreens, the insurance company balked at that one.

Result, I went two or three days in withdrawal, because it was easier than trying to argue any more. The headache took another week or so to dissipate.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My lunch was small an unsatisfactory, so now I'm in the stage of being so hungry I can't decide what I want for dinner. Which is still a while away.

I've called one place at 2175 Market that doesn't have any 1-bedrooms available, but I'm scheduled to see the building Saturday morning just in case they have an opening sometime.

I'm scheduled to see this place in the Mission tomorrow morning, although its wildly varied Yelp reviews are probably not the best sign: [link]

Now I'm going to investigate Craigslist for places to see until it's time to leave for Park West.
