I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Good job getting through the drilling, Sue! Sparkly tooth sticker.

We have reached flan tempaerature! Finally! It's been a learning experience. Everything will be better once I drill a hole through the top of the cooler.

I still have no popsicles, but I am full of yummy roast pork so I'm okay with that. I should look out for future -t and make popsicles happen, though.

So they started demolishing my kitchen today: [link]

Yikes! I have to admit, the floor does not look promising under all that. I may have to get a new floor put in after all...

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I have successfully made baba ghanoush! It was super delicious. I could eat it all summer. I feel like I deserve some sort of sticker, like Adventurous Cook! or maybe It's About Time You Learned, Sweetheart!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

It is my Lyrica. My doc has said, in the past, that I can try tapering off to see if the nerve pain comes back or not. Last time I tapered, the pain came back so I went back to my standard dose. Thus time I just screwed up, but no nerve pain so far.

Oh, yeah, you'll have withdrawal symptoms with Lyrica.

Yeah. I'm discovering that. I should send an email to my doc to see how long it should take to quit feeling like shit.

Depending on the dosage you were taking, it could be longer than a week.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Even I like baba ghanoush!

I found Avengers-themed popsicles. They taste like popsicles. And Heroism.

The new friends who are coming over tomorrow for my birthday are not communicating with me. I don't know when they plan to arrive, or whether they're bringing food or if I should have food for them. M. asked me to remind her at lunch (she forgets what day it is) so I guess we're getting together in the after-lunch portion of the day, but otherwise I feel rather adrift.

Wow Consuela--scary and exciting!

Wow, that'll really be a new kitchen!

Woo, Burrell, go you! I do not like baba ghanoush myself, except on very rare occasions when can only assume whoever made it did some kind of magic to make it tasty, so in my head you have done magic. Wooden spoon with shiny ribbon sticker!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Demo is so scary and it makes you realize "Hey, my house is not an inviolable fortress. It's just a box made out of some stuff."

Speaking of renovation--they installed our shower door on Sunday and I took my first shower in it this morning. AND IT WAS FUCKING GREAT.
