In travel news, I just dreamed up a scenario for myself where I get to fly Qatar Airlines (it's the cheapest!), but I don't think I'm actually going to get to go on that trip. Alas!

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I don't think we got a meal on the short flight on Iceland Air. IIRC it's like 3 hours or shorter, no meal; longer than that you can buy a meal. I think I was able to buy chocolate on any flight, though? I liked that chocolate. And the USB at the seat for charging one's phone was very nice. Not to mention being able to book tours, etc. while in the air.
I have decided that (like Steph's confession on FB about wanting to kick down a door), I want to once be in a situation in my life where I need walk-on music, so I can enter to the strains of "HERCULES MULLIGAN!" from Hamilton.

Oh god, I want to do that SO MUCH. I watch too many superhero shows.
I just booked my flight to London and I'm flying FinnAir. Never flown them before. But it's operated by American on the flight out and British Airways on the flight back, so it may not be anything special.
I booked through AirFare.com for a flight that was $300 cheaper than I could get through the airline itself, but I'm worried now that something will go wrong because I used a cheaper service.
Booking agency? Your seat is in the unpressurized cargo hold!
Y'all have good life goals.
Oh, god, someone wants to collect time spent/task info from all of Operations. It would be hard to overstate how much I hate estimating that. If someone wants to follow me around with a stopwatch, fine, but asking me to guess/remember = a world of no.
I just emailed someone basically asking why they haven't sent the $2.3 million as promised. I am TERRIFIED we have somehow received it and misplaced it. Ah well.
meara, I think Drew was in MSP for work. Ugh, sick. I hope you feel better soon.
Yes, that is correct. My airport shuttle left at 5 AM central, but I was only out there for one day for a meeting, so it was pretty rough, and now I'm in the midst of a very full work day here in LA.
Domestic first is really more about the first on/first off, and a few other perks. The seats on the plane aren't much better than coach in most cases.
International business is a different story. Lots of more, and if you book your plane carefully (Thank you SeatGuru) then you can make sure you're on something that high real space and a lie flat bed and access to the flight lounges. Those lounges are one of the things that saved my sanity when I had my flight to Dublin go awry a few years ago.

Look in the backs of all the drawers. And the sofa cushions, of course.
