Giles: I'm sure we're all perfectly safe. Dawn: We're safe. Right. And Spike built a robot Buffy to play checkers with. Tara: It sounded convincing when I thought it.

I'm dreading putting on a regular bra tomorrow. Weekend sports bras have been fine, but the last two days of regular, hitting all the trigger points, was thankful my office was so cold I was wearing a coat and could slip the straps off. This is untenable. And I hate bra shopping.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

A guy on a local list is trying to give away a cat he adopted but which is destroying his house. One complaint: the cat knows how to use the ice machine,

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

He's not thinking outside the box. What he has right there is a bartender.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

But can he make a proper martini?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Cats are great at shaking but bad at stirring. They'd probably make a great martini.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Is there a way on Facebook to just block posts about Rodan +Fields? They make me irrationally angry! I guess I will just block the friends?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Ugh. The best SF librarian called in sick, which means I really need to go to work, and I don't wanna. Stupid Monday

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think there might be? There's a "Hide posts like this" option, sometimes, or something like that, which might help, but I'm not sure how you get to it.

I was thinking I need the ice machine working cat at work to help me with my poinsettia, but cats + poinsettias = bad, so I guess not.

Considering how I felt this morning, I am going to attempt being a 10pm bedtime tyrant this week.

Click on the little down arrow thing in the upper right corner of the post, and you should see options to hide or block posts from R&F. One of my friends has become a distributor/pusher for R&F and it's so annoying. I gave in and bought one of their eye creams, and no, it isn't Magic Unicorn Youth Dew, it's just overpriced.

My boss is trying to gaslight me. Last week she told I was getting a new journal, ahead of official assignments (which would be next year). So I set up a phone meeting with the current editor to learn the new shit. Today she's all, no don't talk to M. yet, and no you aren't getting the journal immediately, why would you think that? WTF. Because you didn't tell me a start date, and you didn't tell me to keep it a secret, and you said it all over the phone so there's no way for me to go back and check exactly what you did say. After 15 years of this crap, I should have learned to confirm every single thing with her by email.
