Now, this would be the perfect time for a swear word.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Congratulations, Maria! That is AWESOME news!

As for weekend plans, I am doing absolutely jack shit, and that is exactly the kind of weekend I need.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

we are under flash flood alerts. I am not in low ground so not worried.

Raining for 2 days though, so yeah some areas are bad. Over where my parents live has a lot of low-road areas and a friend's husband hydroplaned off the road just after midnight.

Talk about mixed messages, Maria. I'm glad this ridiculousness ended on the positive.

Buy a boat, msbelle.

Everything in my body aches. Even my thumbs. Hormones are stupid.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Please stay safe, hurricane path and hurricane adjacent friends.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

My weekend plans are scanning photos, editing photos, and possibly even taking photos.

In addition to cleaning, I gotta bake some cookies for the pool guards. All the old guards are telling the new, and they ALL kept asking if it was cool enough now I'll start using the oven. HAH! So I'll probably make some snickerdoodles.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

We went to the grocery store, along with everyone else, and are now stocked with groceries and ready to spend the weekend holed up in the house.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Yay, Maria!

Ginger, I hope dealing with the medical stuff goes as smoothly as possible.

I carefully didn't schedule anything but a lash and brow dye tomorrow. I wanted an unscheduled weekend, as I've felt tired all week. I might walk to the farmers market; I might see Crimson Peak again, I might spend a couple of days learning the fly the mini-drone I got for my birthday. Or maybe I'll just read books.

ETA: weather~ ma to all who need it.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Hilarious fact I just learned:

Back in the day, Tim had long hair and a big hippie beard. (That's not what I just learned; I knew that because I saw a picture. Then he cut his hair and shaved his beard.)

He's growing his facial hair for Halloween, and I told him that after the party, he needs to shave it off, because I can't handle sleeping with Jesus. I mean, really -- long brown hair and a beard? He looks like every caucasian-ified picture of Jesus in every one of my grade school classrooms.

He told me that back in the day, during his first stint of long hair + beard, when one of his nephews was wee, the nephew thought that the picture of White Jesus on the wall was, in fact, Uncle Tim. He would point to the picture and *say* "Uncle Tim."

I may have sprained something laughing.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

That's hilarious Steph. I have a thing about beards in that I'm not particularly attracted to them. I blame living through the 70s for that one. But now that beards are in style? I genially offered Cody that I would be fine if he grew a beard as long as he kept it a trimmed beard. (And really, I meant it too.) But he knows me too well, so he said some song and dance about not wanting a beard.

But really, question for the men here? Do all men prefer beards? I assume that most do, if not all.
