I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Nifty! That is quite a testimonial.

God knows I have empty notebooks lying around that I could use.

I'm going to check in for my flight to SF and then put on outside pants so I can drop off more clothes for donation and make a Target run for toiletries. Then I need to pack a suitcase with cute dresses that indicate I am a successful grown up who you should totally rent to, watch a DVD from Netflix, and go through all my books again so I know how many bags I'm donating which is info I need to request a donation pickup.

And, you know, obsessively check Craigslist for apartments.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Hmm, bullet journal, eh? Never heard of it before, but I can see it being helpful.

Really though what I need is motivation and a greater capacity to hope that it's all worthwhile and not some stupidly sisyphian adventure.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

So, we're thinking about moving to Ireland next year.

I may have to seize the cat.

a greater capacity to hope that it's all worthwhile and not some stupidly sisyphian adventure.

I could only believe this in a world without laundry & dishes.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

So, we're thinking about moving to Ireland next year.

!!!!!!

What led to that? Damn, that would be amazing!

Well, Tom's pretty ready to leave New Orleans, and to be honest, some of the negatives here (crime, gentrification, police corruption) are starting to wear on me too. I mean, I'd like to be able to actually walk around my neighborhood after dark, and I honestly don't feel safe doing that, even with someone else.

We've been here for 5 years, have itchy feet, and would both like to take a little break from the US. The UK is out, they're even more conservative than here. But we have some family in Ireland, a couple friends, and it's close enough to the UK to be able to get there more frequently to see friends and Tom's dad.

Ireland's craft beer scene is in a nascent stage, like Louisiana was when I first moved here, there's tons of tech jobs coming in all over the country for Tom, he's still a UK/EU citizen, primary language is English, the country is gorgeous.

We're signing a year lease for our apartment here, so this would be a much more slowly researched and planned move than the one to New Orleans from Boston. We won't be committing to anything for a while, but we're (I'm) doing some research which is fun.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Nora, how exciting!
