I'm sorry, sarameg. I hope you get some sleep soon.
I have not yet been inundated with squash, but I think I've got a delicata coming next week.
Eat it with something pumpkin? To be fair, cinnamon IS one of the spices in pumpkin spice?
They do recommend trying it with Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps. From the Flyer:
Toscano with Cinnamon is a bit of a curiosity in this particular Fearless Flyer - it has become a staple in the Flyer every October, yet it has no pumpkin, no pumpkin pie spice blend, and no pumpkin seeds
Also, someone elsewhere (I think?) mentioned that there is pumpkin cookie butter. Which...what?!? I can't even think how a person would use that.
I think I saw the pumpkin cookie butter on the shelf last time I was in TJ's. I was confused and afraid and did not investigate further.
OK, found the write up for Pumpkin Pie Spice Cookie Butter
Have we gone too far? Has pumpkin mania reached its apex? Will the Earth's core explode and bring everything to an end?...How you might enjoy it is limited only by your imagination. Apple or pear slices, toast or bagels, milkshakes or smoothies...
I have made Light and Fluffy Scrambled Eggs actually following the recipe and I have to say, came out better than not quite following the recipe (like I usually do).
Apparently this year's pumpkin crop was negatively affected by all the rain and is likely to run out between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Doesn't affect pumpkin spice mania, I suppose.
Tried to give her a rest from the cone; she went to lick the spot within a minute. Might go get a soft collar. She can still drink from the toilet. I know because I caught her as she splashed water all over the floor.
My old Koogie had one of those collars once. He liked to drink from drippy faucets, and when he discovered he couldn't reach, he'd stick the collar under the drip, wait for the water level to rise, then drink from his personal little pool. Then he'd tip his head to drain the water when he was done. OF course he also got himself stuck in doorways all the time because he couldn't figure out that he needed to leave more space between his body and the door jamb. Such a strange, odd, wonderful cat.
Oh, Pumpkin.
I had not heard that, Matt. Of course, too much rain has not been a problem for my local pumpkin farmers, so maybe we are okay.
Consumer Support just came around and gave us all muffins. Score!
Gah, I've already taken the dentist recommended dosage of Tylenol and ibuprofen and now I'm getting a headache. So wrong.
-t is on a roll!!! But hopefully the headache is gone, gone, gone.

I will say the soft collars rock. Less intrusive for critter and family.
