"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Dinner for me tonight is a summer salad, roasted red pepper and basil quinoa, and baked salmon with a lime juice and maple syrup glaze.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yum.

We had spinach salad and pork chops with amber rice. (Secret ingredient: oj). First time I've cooked properly in weeks. Travel is really disruptive to eating well,

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My dinner tonight was cheese, bread, and fruit, eaten as quickly as possible because I have an unusually fussy baby tonight and TCG is not home.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Cody is at a late meeting, so I made the kids lentils, plus heated up the leftover eggplant & tomato dish I made last night. I figure that's fairly healthy, and boy do the kids love lentils!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That sounds super healthy, Burrell. I am always kinda surprised when I have lentils and like them (which is basically every time I have lentils, so I the surprise should fade at some point) because the first time I had them was a freeze-dried soup that burnt to the bottom of the pot but we ate it anyway because it's all we had, so anything that tastes better than that is amazing to me. Which is to say, hearing that kids like lentils is also kind of amazing to me. It's my personal spinach or broccoli, I guess ( I always liked both spinach and broccoli).

All of y'all's dinners sound really good. Possibly I am still hungry, but I think those are all legit tasty sounding meals.

BTW, I got the "pumpkin season" TJ's Fearless Flyer in the mail today and it is pumpkin-o-rrific, but it has also kindled an intense desire to try the how-did-this-get-in-here-it's-not-pumpkin product, Toscano cheese with cinnamon. Intriguing.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Some of those polishes are pretty aged. Is there maybe a good thinner peeps could use for the ones that have gone goopy?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I had asa wat for dinner and I'm pretty sure the side item was lentils.

I've started a new album on Flickr [link] that has been sort of a random, on-going thing for me. I need a title for this album. So far the best I can think of is Street A-peel. I am open to suggestions.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I had ham and swiss on a sourdough baguette and a sliced up apple. Yummy.
