But I think yes Bay Area the week of the 19th, and maybe I'll take a little extra time so I can see people!
Of October?
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Yup.
Oh goodie I am in town still!!
Ugh. Had a hair appointment at 2. Scrambled to get here in time. It's now 2:27 and the woman still isn't done with the person before me. Not amused. Couldn't they have called or something and said they were running behind?
Ablation~ma for your cousin, Matt.
We just hit the 20% funded mark on the Kickstarter. Conventional wisdom is that if you hit 10% on the first day, you'll successfully fund, whoo!
t Kickstarter likes carrots?
Yay, Jilli!
I have a wedding to go to tomorrow morning, and I just don't feeeel like it. I want to sleep in and laze around! I like the couple, and I'm sure it will be fun, but still.
I've pretty much decided I'm going to change my February trip from Venice Beach for two nights to three nights in Vegas again. As much as I want to see the ocean, contemplating that particular trip has been causing anxiety instead of glee. Yes, Vegas is a tourist trap, but that means there are safety nets for baffled tourists. They make it easy for tourists to have a troublefree visit. I don't think I'm ready for a solo trip with so many points of potential fubar as the trip to LA would have--an outgoing trip with a potentially tight plane transfer, making way through a massive airport I've never been in, making my way across a massive city I was last in nearly 20 years ago, then only have one day before doing it all in reverse. In Vegas, I'm a coddled commodity; in LA, I'm just another person, an obvious out-of-towner. Plus, for the same amount of money, I get another day to sit by a pool and read. I've been longing for poolside sitting.
Maybe in another year I'll be able to dump the safety net.
We moved an over-one-ton rock today in the rain. Woot!
ION, broached the subject of thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant with dad and he noted that mom didn't like meals out on holidays. I never knew that. So that looks like a no-go.
Timelies all!
Rain. All weekend long. On the one hand, I didn't have anything planned, aside from getting food. On the other hand, potential for cabin fever is great.
