But? There's always a but. When this is over, can we have a big 'but' moratorium?

I am so stressed out at work. Lots and lots of mistakes being made and no one seemingly caring to try to fix. I know I am high strung and DO when there is a time constraint and/or things going wrong and I really do not do well with a team that lacks urgency and ownership. FIX YOUR FUCKING MISTAKES!!!

But no, I am the fixer AND THEN THE LECTURER! Looks of disdain are being handed out freely.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Well, I am signed up to take an introductory Krav Maga class on Saturday for 2 hours. I'm sure that I will be woefully out of shape and not very good at it at first, but I like to believe that ita will be watchincg or knowing somehow, and approving.

I've always been fascinated by taking Krav Maga and admired ita for her expertise in it so this is for her and this is also definitely for me. It'll be an interesting experience.

not your mom's socks.

I let all the batteries in all my iThings run out so that by 9:30am this morning I could not do anything online and DH and I took a walk and had lunch together. iThings recharged, because obvs.

It felt vaguely human. Also, have stopped moving about the country for a week.

I hope everyone is feeling better soon!

Any of my pharmaceutically or medically and climb friends heard anything about a new sleep aid called I believe Bell stoma? If have any information that you could point me towards about this, I would greatly appreciate it. I've been taking Ambien fo too many years and it just takes a massive dose for it to work anymore and I need to find an alternative.

Belsoma, actually, I believe.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Belsoma, actually, I believe.

I haven't heard a thing about it. I'll have to look stuff up. I haven't even seen commercials for it.

I'm amused and disappointed at one of our style guidelines for article titles. I have an editorial that accompanies an article about insurance for children, including Medicaid and CHIP. And the title is "Once Again, What About the Children?"

But our style, which we apparently never make exceptions for, is that titles cannot be phrased as declarative sentences or questions. I am sad, because an editorial titled "What About the Children?" is hilarious. It could only be funnier if it was accompanied by a picture of Rev. Lovejoy's wife.

It's Belsomra

I am procrastinating applying for a job I think I want, that 2 of my well-connected friends are willing to put in a good word for me at, because cover letters are So Hard! blurgh.

OMG co-workers. Just stop. My Nemesis and Flakey New Co-worker both. Argh.

In other news, I joined a community chorus last night. This will be good for my brain, because it turns out singing parts is hard. Who knew? Specially hard if, like me, one does not read music...

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Have fun, Strix!

That sounds nice, Sox. Welcome home.

Good luck, lisah! Cover letters are hard, but you can do it!

I just took my lunch time meds and was honestly surprised that I am still on Tuesday in my pillbox. Surely we are at least four days into this week by now.

Got myself a haircut and a milkshake on my break, yay!

Oh, exciting, Consuela!

ETA the chorus, not the co-workers.

Me at end of day yesterday: boss, you are going to need to call x or y for help on that thing tomorrow.

Me in email to boss today: you need to call x or y for help on that thing.

An hour later

Lady from x & y's office in email to me cc boss: you need to have your boss fix these things he did yesterday so you can do your part.

Me: yes, I know. He needs to call you for help.

Boss: I couldn't do anything when I was in there yesterday.

Me: yes boss, you somehow did do something. It needs to get reversed now. Call them for help.

Lady: sends screenshot - yes you see right here "blah blah stuff boss does not understand OR BE WOULD NOT HAVE MADE THE MISTAKE"

Boss: I never saw that screen, I have no idea what you are talking about.
