Aaaand cramps hit halfway there, with a vengeance. Got to work and things are barfing all over the place. Today will be fun.

Aw, grandma of aurelia. Love that story.
Do not want to get out of bed.
I did not realize my Friday morning meeting was an hour earlier. Whoops.
On the other hand, Boehner is resigning from congress! This was unexpected. I guess he got tired of fighting the nutsos.
Boehner is resigning from congress!
The only bad thing about this is the replacement will likely be worse.
I think I'm finally over my jetlag: I did not want to get up at 6:15.
Boehner was trying to stop another shutdown. This is probably a sign that he lost that struggle.
And it turns out the reason I didn't know my meeting was an hour earlier is because they rescheduled it at 5AM local time. Not cool, Europe.
Oy. I'm just not gonna think about that until later. It makes me too angry and I have work to do.
ETA Not cool at all, Europe.
On the other hand, Boehner is resigning from congress!
I don't live in his district, but as an Ohioan, I am still rejoicing. And not thinking about who might replace him.
I just realized I am the backup for an account i know nothing about but the primary analyst is out today. I hope they don't need anything, I'm still catching up on my accounts...

Actually, this will avoid a shutdown (most likely). From the WP:
The shocking move means there’s unlikely to be a government shutdown next week. Following Boehner’s announcement, House Republicans said there was agreement to pass a clean spending bill to avert a government shutdown. Several members of the Freedom Caucus, the conservative group which led the revolt against Boehner’s leadership, said they will now support the spending bill without demands to defund Planned Parenthood attached to it.
