Cookie Monster, still my favorite.

Oh, hey, Muppets on TV tonight.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

sits on the couch alongside everyone else who attempted Comcast's autopay and was punished severely for trying

I last had a go at it about 15 years ago, when it was a newish feature; I'm appalled but not remotely surprised to hear that a decade and a half later it still sucks stankballs.

It's been working for me ::knock wood:: but at this point I'm afraid to change anything for fear it will all go pear-shaped. OTOH, if ye olde autopay ever does fail the easiest thing for me to do will probably be to drop Comcast entirely (I have phone and internet through them, almost entirely out of inertia. Every single action I have taken with them has been a giant PITA and I feel certain canceling service would be as well)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Comcast autopay has been working for me for years. Then I upgraded my DVR (which I still haven't gotten). That change seems to have triggered a reset somehow. There seems to be no way to avoid aggravating stupidity.

This is what I'm saying, change is problematic. WRT Comcast, anyway. Good luck getting it sorted out, Zen.

Unrelatedly - I am pondering my Halloween costume. I'm thinking maybe some kind of play on "are you a good witch or a bad witch" with my batwing shoes and stripey stockings and a ball gown, switching between a tiara and a pointy hat as the mood strikes me. Will that make any sense to people who aren't me?

...Maybe? It does to me, but we're rather an Oz-ish household. I really like the idea of having enough accessories that you can be both a good *and* a bad witch as the occasion demands.

Matilda wants me to be the Scary Godmother, but I kind of want to attempt Coraline, even though neither of those will make any sense to anyone who isn't any of us. She's going to be Marceline the Vampire Queen, and is already resigned to nobody knowing who she is but also very happily attached to being Marceline.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

even though neither of those will make any sense to anyone who isn't any of us.

We were Lana Kane and Pam Poovey last year, and no one got it. How can we not know anyone who watches Archer???

We're expecting no one to get skinny jeans!Ichabod Crane and Hot Topic Katrina this year, either. Our friends need to watch more TV.

Apparently!

Those are all terrific, JZ!

Oh, wait, Halloween is on Saturday this year. That changes everything. Maybe. Typically I wear a costume to work and that's kind of it. Hm.

Aw, Yogi Berra passed away.

He had a pretty good run. 90 years old, I'm reading.
