Timelies all!
Ren Faire trip went well. The weather was lovely, and the little guy slept through most of it. (Of course, now he's being fussy)
Fastest 2 miles since 2012. After yesterday's slowest since last weekend. I have no idea what my body is doing.
Got way too much at work tomorrow, uhg.
Hey, I went to school with an Emmy winner.
one of my San Diego college-era peeps just IM'd me to say that she's at Sox's books, beer and tacos event right now! Yay!
Since one of your people said she might come, I considered loudly doing a "Who here knows Jacqueline?", but then didn't, alas. Ah well, still an excellent good time!
and likes to dress so as not to prevent a sudden handstand or backflip should the urge come upon he
I like her already.
I don't think I heard anything like 'buffista adjacent' but it was a little bit of a blur.
Monday, argh. First day at the new/old job, and I'm not entirely sure where the HR office I'm supposed to report to is...
OTOH, jetlag means I didn't need the alarm clock today. So yay for that?
I got home from England on Friday and my kitchen is DONE. And then I spent all weekend unpacking and moving & sorting things. Still a lot to do, but I have fruit and milk and flowers, so I'm good to go.
Still miss English tea, though: something about the water makes it better than here, sigh.

I know it's a weird thing to say about English food, but it tastes so much better. K. and I drank a pint of fresh whole milk in Ireland and it was heavenly.
Welcome home, though!
I'm worried about our ancient kitty Slinky. We think she's constipated, based on what's in the litter box. She's also been yowling occasionally, isn't eating, and has been throwing up a little. But she also hasn't been grooming herself, and she's walking very gingerly.
I'm kind of concerned that maybe this is the end for our kitty. She's 18 years old; we know she isn't going to live forever, but it's still hard to consider it.
Plus, this is our anniversary, and instead of going out for a fancy dinner, we're taking the kitty to the vet. (We moved the fancy dinner to Wednesday. The pets are way more important than a meal.)
