"Most of them have jobs and kids...what am I gonna say? I killed the President of Paraguay with a fork." I feel like that, at least once a week, and my job's sketchy too.(No world leaders have been harmed. yet.)

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Sometimes, I even feel like a failure as a crippled person, which would seem impossible, and yet? I've known I sucked at Overcoming, since I was, like ten, and then, I didn't like, pull it together and desegregate whole classrooms or take up whitewater rafting or murderball.(And a lot of my friends are motivational speakers or fight gun violence, and, on a good day, I look up phone numbers for halfway rich people in Bumfuck County Florida(Which must be super-important cause I don't make a dime from it)
So, just {{{meara}}} You're loved, and you are better than your self-valuation right now.
Yes, this
“the book even contains a copy of her tour rider, which requires that her green room be furnished with two dozen oysters on ice, unopened because ‘Grace does her own shucking.’”
I'm sorry, meara. That's not a good place to be at all.
Relatedly, I am filled with envy at Lee's travel. Or really anyone's travel at this point. My big trip this year is to Washington DC with kids. Nothing glamorous there. I miss travel.
Thanks guys. Things always feel better in the morning. But partly just hard knowing change is coming too (BFF having kids! Which is exciting but obvi no vacations together for many years in the future...)
one of my San Diego college-era peeps just IM'd me to say that she's at Sox's books, beer and tacos event right now! Yay!
OH Who was it?
It was a great event - AND Buffistaed!
Will write more from plane - Meara - all the hugs ... I'm sad I'm missing you in Seattle. You are wonderful and among the best of people.
Kat & sj I hope you both feel better soon -
OH Who was it?
Her name's Anne; blonde, very short hair, dressed either way down or boyishly (she's an occasional circus arts dabbler and likes to dress so as not to prevent a sudden handstand or backflip should the urge come upon her), slender and five feet nothing. I told her she should introduce herself as a Buffista once removed, but it sounds like maybe she didn't (but you got an actual true Buffista none-removed in the person of Epic, so hurray!).
Emmys tonight! I'm kind of sad I forgot and will miss them. So I will rely on you people to tell me what my reactions would have been.
The color of the red carpet seems to be rose.
