Yay, baby!
I guess I will try to make a renter's resume tomorrow because I just can't handle it today. Too many meetings. Not enough sleep. Caffeine broken.
shrift, it's worth looking into particular landlords.
I've got an application in to a place like that, but I need one of their leasing agents to call me back. I'm looking up other options as well. I'm going to be making a lot of phone calls today. UGH.
Yay baby! Thanks for sharing the info, Dana. I haven't been on FB yet.
I'm sure you'll find a nice place, shrift, so fingers crossed that the process isn't too onerous.
Yay, baby!
shrift, tons of ~ma that you find the perfect place to live.
Now, at the end of the training, we're having a video conference using other technology to try and recap with the other group. Having more than one person in one room logged into a meeting from their computers sets up some lovely feedback.
Everything is coming through one set of speakers. I'm pretending I can hear, but I totally can't. Smile and nod, smile and nod.
You are making me very glad I own a house, shrift. Even though it needs many smallish repairs and maybe bigger ones that I am resolutely not looking into and the floorboards are suddenly buckling near the front door and I can't shut the iron gate by the driveway any more and yardwork never ever ends. At least I don't need a resume to live there.
Things it is important I do today:
-
Unload the dishwasher, reload and run needs to be done again
- Make cheesecake - started
- Sous vide some salmon - in process
- Get started inventorying my pantry - not really gonna happen today
- Walk dog/heartrate workout- sorry Walter, tomorrow
Things that do not seem important at all today:
OMG one of the things that made me crazy yesterday is that they are rolling out a new expense system to everyone. It starts Monday, but yesterday was the only training session they had before next week. And lo and behold, they could only fit 200 people in the webex, so it got full and no one else could log in and they tried to send another email but because it was going to everyone in North America it never actually came through...etc, etc. so shitty.
Ugh, meara. That sounds like a complete mess. Tons of ~ma for everyone dealing with work badness right now.
The people in Europe want to go home, and it's getting shirty here.
And I've got a government contractor who wants us to completely requote something to base + option years when they asked for a straight lease term before, and doesn't understand why I have to reprice everything including the sales and excise tax.
tl;dr meara and Dana, I feel you. And not in the fun way.
