Lydia: Its removal from Burma is a felony and when triggered it has the power to melt human eyeballs. Giles: In that case I've severely underpriced it.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

And I've got a government contractor who wants us to completely requote something to base + option years when they asked for a straight lease term before, and doesn't understand why I have to reprice everything including the sales and excise tax.

tl;dr meara and Dana, I feel you. And not in the fun way.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

My work computer has a nasty virus, despite us having AVG anti-virus software. I'm waiting for AVG to get back to me so they can remote-in to my computer and (hopefully) fix it.

Luckily today I have work to do using a different computer.

ION, tonight I have a date with Anna. I can't stop thinking about her--I am well and truly smitten.

I am well and truly smitten.

This makes me so happy, but probably not as happy as it makes you. Have a wonderful time this evening!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay tommyrot! So lovely to hear.

Commiserations for people stuck with icky work stuff and training and glayvin.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Okay, that meeting got ugly. This does not bode well for future meetings.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Yay smitten!

And for making me aware of the egregious use of 'decimate' in that headline.

I can understand why the customers are upset. They still have 90 per cent of their chicken sandwiches left but aren't selling them.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Smittenness is excellent. Long may it reign.

New baby, also excellent. May love, joy, and learning reign in this life.

Work crud? Not so excellent. In the words of Father Mulcahey, "This too shall pass." And may it pass quickly and cleanly.

Right? That's no way to do business.

I think I'm going to need black tea AND green tea today. Oh my neglected special projects, maybe I will get back to you eventually.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Happy Birthday, Jane D.!
