So today: new vet seems good, thorough but not as expensive as the last vet used to be. Luna has an infection, so we need to pill her twice a day. Yuck! Not looking forward to it, and ever so grateful that our neighbor is still willing to watch her while we are away this weekend.
Also went to the dentist for teeth cleanings (me and the kids) and to get braces put on (kids only). No wires yet, still a few steps to take first. The snaggle tooth is gone, as is one of Franny's teeth. Tooth fairy needs to pay well tonight.
I picked up takeout, Burrell! And I have wine in the fridge.
I'll be right on over! Oh wait, long drive...
You can order Starbucks and pick it up along the way ( I learned today that the nearest Starbucks to me with order-ahead-technology is in Stockton, helpfully noted as 53 minutes away by the app)

When our kitty had an ingrown claw, after the vet clipped it away, she wanted the kitty to take antibiotics, and said the options were a 10-day course of twice-a-day pills, or for $20 more the vet would give the kitty an antibiotic shot and that's all she would need.
Best $20 I ever spent.
I woulda got the shot if it had been offered, but it wasn't. I am not sure why, but didn't ask at the time. We'll see how it goes.
I'm a big fan of the shots too. But with digestive stuff, they often prefer to have them administered orally. Try pill pockets. Unless you have a Devi. She'd eat around the pill, not a gobbler.
I have been an adult all day. I'm doing laundry now. My house is just going to be messy while I'm gone a week and there's no getting around that.
Maria, I'm sorry your employers have lost their minds.
Yeah, I don't even know if the kitty needed an antibiotic for an ingrown claw, but then, she's almost 18, and I'd rather err on the side of caution with her.
I vacuumed. yep that's pretty much all the adulting outside of work that I did.
about to apply wine and watch more AoS.
No adulting here, beyond feeding myself dinner.
It's 100 on the patio and 89 in the house, time for a tepid bubble bath with a trashy novel.
Well, that took three hours to get home.
