Shir! I got nothin' on the phone coverage, sorry. But it's nice to see your pixels. I hope your family has a nice trip, whatever carrier they choose.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I just bought a bunch of veg from the farmers market, but if TCG hadn't cooked dinner, I would have had a bag of doritos and a glass of milk.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Shir, for that area, Verizon (or any carrier that piggybacks on them, list is here: [link] has the best coverage. They're also most likely the most expensive, though.

No brain-searing displays at the pool tonight. Though one kid dubbed me a dolphin and kept dolphin talking at me (all instructor Christie's fault.) I could hear her doing it every time I got near them in the pool. Much more PG, though I'm pretty sure Christie was regretting it by the end of the lesson...

Cleaned upstairs. As much as I dinna wanna clean this weekend, I shoulda. Last night I did downstairs, tonight up. I prefer marathon 2.5 hrs on a weekend. We must be inherently messier than some of my other friends with cats who don't clean as often as I do. Cause I've seen their houses and I have no idea how they go more than 2 weeks without a thorough vac and mop without reaching the state I do. Hell, as summer starts, I have to run the vac in some rooms weekly.

Also, my shoulder hates vacuuming.

Shit. Our nurse has a job interview on Friday. It's at a university run hospital which mean she'd be able to get her RN for free.

I really wish we had family in the area.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh no, Kat! I mean, good for her, but oh no!

So...white people! When you get pulled over for stupid stuff, like tailgating or registrations expired by a day, or failure to signal, etc, does the cop roll up next to you in your blind spot and look at you in your side mirror for a little while before pulling back and lighting up the rollers? I don't mean if you're doing something you know, like speeding. I'm talking about when you get pulled over and you have zero idea what he's going to say for the reason when he gets to your window?

Or do you white people not get pulled over for stuff like that, it occurs to me may be the case?

Because I feel like I've been getting a lot of driving while Asian lately. I really don't think I'm a particularly bad driver, and I rarely actually get tickets out of it, but it is seriously ramping up my baseline paranoia, which as we all know, needs no help.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Or do you white people not get pulled over for stuff like that, it occurs to me may be the case?

They still pull over white people because they do like collecting fees in California for late registration and whatnot. I don't know about that particular trick about scoping the driver. I wouldn't be surprised? When I've gotten pulled over they just get behind me and hit the lights.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Thanks Jesse!

J? Noooooo! (I mean, great for her, but noooooooo! She's awesome.)

Aww, what she said. I totally get wishing you had family nearby. I always wish I had grandparents around.

Or do you white people not get pulled over for stuff like that, it occurs to me may be the case?

Definitely get pulled over for that kind of stuff too
