Maria, the weather will be gorgeous in Salt Lake the next couple of days, cooler, cloudy, and rainy. Which may not thrill you, but makes us desert dwellers giddy.
Oh, it thrills me! It's been unbearably hot and humid here all summer. I'm in town less than 24 hours, so I'm not going to bother with a jacket, but long sleeves seems advisable.
I was just reading about Jamie Foxx and Katie Hokmes dating, and I thought they made a really weird couple. Then, I just realized the person I thought was Jamie Foxx is actually Bernie Mac (who had a show on Fox)!
Timelies all!
Don't really get into the pumpkin spice stuff. (A while back Starbucks had a pumpkin spice frappicino, non-coffee version. Now everything pumpkin spice there has coffee. )

Plus Bernie Mac died 7 years ago, which would make that dating relationship REALLY weird.

I had no idea! But it was his face I pictured every time someone said Jamie Foxx!

Katie does have experience with weird dating relationships, though.
If someone in corporate IT does an Internet search analysis, I may come into some questions for my recent queries re: pressure it takes to break bones, especially head bones. I swear, it's research for a story!
Now I am sort of picturing Jamie Foxx as Tom Cruise Lestat in Interview with a Vampire.
I have horrible problems with actors-- Last year I realized that William Hurt and John Hurt are not the same person. I was really confused why the guy from An Accidental Tourist was voicing the dragon on Merlin.
Thanks. This will be my last fundraiser with this group, so it is nice to go out with a bang. I'm already getting pulled deeper into the horse therapy program volunteer-wise. I'm the assistant to the volunteer coordinator - providing training, making sure we have volunteers for each day's lessons, and such.
Oh, one more word on last Friday. Dan Deitz and his daughter Tiffany spoke after the dinner. (Son is Danny Dietz whose story was in the movie Lone Survivor {he did not survive}). They are a Colorado family and a big deal around here. Their speech was tailored to the group, concentrating on the role of the search and rescue team that found his body and were able to provide closure to the family instead of living with him being Missing in Action. Not a single dry eye in the house. We weren't able to advertise their presence before hand so it was a big surprise to the vast majority of the attendees, including my son (I thought I had told him but apparently I hadn't).
